How To Get Your Ex Back - 3 Things Not To Do
If there was a degree given in relationships and breakups, I’d have a PhD by now. Trust me, it’s nothing to be proud of. But life is funny. As you get older, if nothing else, you do get experience and hopefully, you learn from that experience. I know I have. As a result, and not without a lot of hard work, I am today happily married to my wife for almost 24 years, this August. This happiness didn’t come overnight. And it didn’t come without some bad times. We had our breakup BEFORE we even got married. During that time, I learned quickly what NOT to do if you want to get your ex back. I’m going to share three key things with you today.
Tip number one. Don’t beg. It’s so common for a person to start calling up his ex and begging her to take him back. Heck, I did it too. For one thing, it doesn’t work. The more you beg, the more your ex is going to pull away. For another thing, it’s not an attractive feature. Your partner wants somebody with a little self respect, believe it or not. By begging, you are only lowering yourself in the eyes of your ex.
Tip number two. Don’t stalk. I always used to think that you only saw stalkers in the movies. The truth is, these things happen in real life as well. Guys who just got shown the door are camping out on their ex’s doorstep overnight. For one thing, this could very well land you in jail, which is bad enough in itself. Aside from that, stalking your ex is only going to scare her to death and scaring somebody is no way to win them back. So please…don’t stalk. It’s dangerous and it’s illegal.
Tip number three. Don’t try to get back at your ex by doing something stupid, like spreading lies about her or something dumb like that. I know you’re angry and I know you’re hurt, but trying to get back at your ex is certainly not going to win her back. And yes, some people think if they make life miserable for their ex that she’ll take them back just to make all the nonsense stop. Trust me, it doesn’t work.
